  • Allow the patties to rest after cooking to seal in their juices and flavors.
  • For a smokier taste, consider adding smoked paprika to the seasoning mix.
How do I know when my ground moose meat is cooked?

Check the internal temperature of your ground moose meat with an internal thermometer. According to the MNDH, ground moose should be cooked to 160°F.

How long can I store my moose sausage?

Cooked moose sausage can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

What is the best way to reheat my moose sausage?

I suggest heating them up on the stove over medium heat until warmed through. Additionally, you can heat them in the oven in an oven-safe dish with aluminum foil to prevent the tops from burning.

What to serve these moose sausages on?

These are great on biscuits, bagels, or, my personal favorite, on a homemade omelet.
