*exact measurements are in the recipe card below!
Venison steak marinade recipe Instructions
Add all the ingredients to a blender.
Pulse for 20 seconds until well combined.
Use the marinade immediately.
How to marinade a venison steak
Place up to four six-ounce steaks in a gallon-sized zippered bag or two steaks in a shallow airtight container.
Cover with the marinade and seal the bag or container shut.
Refrigerate for at least two hours and up to overnight. (see next section for marinading tips)
How long should you marinate a steak?
For venison steaks thinner than a half inch, I recommend no more than 4 hours. Steaks thicker than that would benefit most from an overnight marinade.
Venison steak marinading tips
If you are marinating your meat in a zippered bag, squeeze any excess air out before sealing the top and placing it in a large bowl in case it leaks.
Shake off any excess marinade after removing the steaks and pat them dry with a paper towel.
You can use this marinade for any steak you have in mind, not just venison either!
If you are not a huge balsamic vinegar fan, you can substitute it for white wine vinegar.
Discard any extra marinade.
