First things first, cook up that pasta according to the package directions. We want it al dente for the perfect bite.
While the pasta is boiling, pat your shrimp dry and lightly salt. Then, sear in a hot skillet over medium heat with olive oil for 2 minutes, flipping and cooking an additional minute or until pink and opaque.
Toss in the butter, sweet cherry tomatoes, garlic, red pepper flakes, and ground black pepper.
Let it all simmer together for about 5-7 minutes or until the tomatoes soften and release their juices.
Pour the garlic shrimp sauce over your perfectly cooked pasta.
Lightly toss, then serve with a generous sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
Notes
If you like your pasta on the "saucy side," add a few tablespoons of chicken or beef broth to the skillet. For a creamier sauce, add a touch of heavy cream.
