heavy whipping cream

lime juice
freshly squeezed
Instructions
Start by melting the butter, then proceed to sauté the onions until they are soft, which should take about 5-7 minutes.
Add the garlic, chili powder, cumin and oregano, and give it a good stir to fully incorporate with the onions.
Add the chicken broth and corn and bring it to a boil (about 10 minutes).
Add your salt and pepper, then remove the pot from the heat and stir in the heaving whipping cream.
Transfer 2½ cups of the soup to a blender and purée until smooth. Stir the puréed soup back into the pot of remaining soup.
Squeeze in your fresh lime juice and serve immediately.
Notes
To add some heartiness, you can add a cup of cooked rice to the soup.
