Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes stirring often.
Add the ground beef to the pot and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned throughout.
Cover the pot, return to a simmer, and cook for an additional 30 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
